“The Java Basin, including West Java Basin, Central Java Basin, East Java Basin and Java Sea Basin has long been known as the primary oil and producers in Indonesia.
Back arc basins of Western Indonesia accounts for 85% of Indonesia’s Hydrocarbon reserves, while Banyumas Central Java Basin has been reported as having numerous oil sleeps. East Java Basin is the most wanted area in Indonesia for bidding petroleum acreage in 2000-2005, making it a “hotspot” exploration (Satyana, 2010). Major oil discoveries such as Cepu field (blora) and Jatibarang field (Cirebon) located in this area, along with major oil disaster, The Sidoarjo Mud Volcano.

After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together, told them what had happened, and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. (more…)

How lucky I am and Thanks Allah for give me this chance !

That is the first sentence I shouted when I know that I got chosen as one of the SV (Student Volunteer) on 36thIPA (Indonesia Petroleum Association). I am not saying that I am not hoping this, but rather fear because at first I could say I almost did not send my CV and essay to the IPA committee. This happens because of my super busy routines, so I was only able to send the file on the last day of the deadline time of collection. However, an unexpected call on Wednesday afternoon, just a week before D-day, rang my phone. Then, a conversation on the phone said that I had been selected as one of the SV at the 36th Indonesia Petroleum Association. Wow, it’s amazing. (more…)
