Workshop : Subsurface Mapping and Reservoir Analysis May 24, 2012

Posted by ugmsc in Course and Workshop.

Have you ever wondered about interpreting something that can be clearly seen ? Have you ever got curious to explore your knowledge about representing 3D models by analizing via seismic data and well ? Could you imagine how to interpret and map the subsurface condition existing thousand of meters beneath the earth’s surface ? So, how could those be? Subsurface mapping is the most important key and playing its role to answer these doubts today!

Subsurface Mapping is the most solution way to explore for undiscovered Hydrocarbon and develope the proven hydrocarbon. However, to do this methode it will be a bit harder than doing surface mapping, because the objective / data of subsurface mapping cannot be clearly seen and very limit, when you are demanded having a high accuration of interpreting subsurface data based on its limited data. Therefore, to meet this requirements, a geoscientist should also know how to operate software supporting this subsurface mapping, besides having a good fundamental of basic geology especially for structural geology and tectonic setting of area being observed.

In short, We are from AAPG UGM SC is going to help you to answer your doubts in subsurface mapping by joining our workshop being divided into two parts :
